Dodgers Hire Greg Maddux As Special Assistant

According to Bob Nightengale of USA Today the Los Angeles Dodgers have hired Hall of Fame pitcher Greg Maddux as special assistant to the President of Baseball operations.

Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times also reported the news.

The Los Angeles Dodgers confirmed the news via their official Twitter account.
The Dodgers have hired Greg Maddux and Raul Ibanez as special assistants to the president of baseball operations & baseball ops department.

Los Angeles continues to bolster their front office. They Andrew Friedman, Josh Byrnes, Farhan Zaidi, and Alex Anthopoulos who all have extensive experience running baseball operations.
It is believed that Maddux and Ibanz will help advice Friedman and Zaidi on personnel decisions going forward. Both former players are highly respected around the league and are valuable additions.
