Dodgers Force Game 7 Win Over Astros 3-1

Joc Pederson hit a solo home run in the 7th inning to give the Dodgers some breathing room and the club went on to win game 6 of the World Series 3-1 on Tuesday night. Los Angele is just one win away from winning the World Series.
For Los Angeles, Rich Hill got the start. He pitched 4.2 innings allowing 4 hits and 1 run. He walked 1 and struck out 5 as he was awarded a no-decision for his efforts.
On the other side, Justin Verlander got the start. He pitched 6 innings allowing 3 hits and 2 runs. He walked 0 and struck out 9 as he picked up his first loss of the postseason.
The offense got started in the 3rd inning when George Springer hit a solo shot to right field. This gave Houston an early 1-0 lead.
It was Chris Taylor in the 6th inning that hit an RBI double to right field that brought in Austin Barnes. Corey Seager followed with a sacrifice fly that brought in Chase Utley and Dodgers led 2-1.
Pederson hit an opposite-field home run in the 7th inning to push the lead to 3-1. Kenley Jansen came on in the 8th inning and picked up a 6 out save.
Los Angeles will play the final game of the Series tonight at Dodger Stadium.
