Dodgers Fall To Rockies 4-2

The Los Angeles Dodgers dropped a crucial game to the Colorado Rockies 4-2 on Saturday night. With the loss, Los Angeles now sits 1.5 games back of the NL West crown.
For the Dodgers, Wade Buehler got the start. He pitched 6 innings allowing 4 runs and 1 walk. He struck out 7 and picked up his 5th loss of the year.
On the other side, Kyle Freeland got the start. He pitched 6 innings allowing 4 hits and 1 run. He walked two and struck out 8 as he picked up his 14th win of the year.
The offense got started in the 3rd inning when Chris Iannetta hit a solo home run. Ian Desmond followed with an RBI double in the 4th inning that brought in David Dahl and the Rockies held a 2-0 lead.
Chris Taylor got the Dodgers on the board with a solo home run. Charlie Blackmon added a two-run homer in the bottom half the of the 5th inning to push the lead to 4-1.
Max Muncy hit an RBI double in the 9th inning that helped the cut and brought in Cody Bellinger but it was not enough and the Dodgers fell 4-2.
Wade Davis picked up his 39th save of the year.
