Dodgers Extend Qualifying Offers To 3 Players

According to Mark Saxon of the ESPN.com the Los Angeles Dodgers have extended qualifying offers to Zack Greinke, Brett Anderson, and Howie Kendrick.

The Los Angeles Dodgers official Twitter account also reported the news.

The move was expected for Greinke who has a great chance to win the NL Cy Young award for this season. Greinke opted out of his deal with Dodgers earlier in the week.

Extending Kendrick was a tough decision, but since there may be other teams out there interested in his services in makes sense for the Dodgers to make that move.

Anderson was able to stay healthy in Los Angeles for the first time in  a long time. He threw for over 180 innings the most he’s ever thrown in one season. He was regarded as one of the best young arms in baseball for injuries derailed him but his work this year earned him a qualifying offer.
