Dodgers Drop Game 3 To Braves 6-5

The Los Angeles Dodgers fell to the Atlanta Braves 6-5 in game 3 of the NLDS on Sunday night. With the loss, the Dodgers hold a 2-1 series lead.

Wade Buehler got the start for Los Angeles. He pitched 5 innings allowing 2 hits and 5 runs. He walked 3 and struck out 7 as he picked up the no-decision.

On the other side, Sean Newcomb got the start. He pitched 2.2 innings allowing 1 hit and 2 runs. He walked 3 and picked up a no-decision.

The offense got started in the 2nd inning when Nick Markakis scored after Newcomb drew a walk. Ronald Acuna followed with a grand slam that brown in Ozzie Albies, Charlie Culberson, and Newcomb and gave the Braves a 5-0 lead.

In the 3rd inning, Justin Turner got the Dodgers on the board. He hit a 2-run single that brought in Kiké Heranández and Chris Taylor. Taylor hit a two-run home run in the 5th inning that brought in Yasmani Grandal and cut the score to 5-4.

Max Muncy hit a solo home run later in the inning to tie the game at 5 apiece. That score didn’t last long as Freddie Freeman hit a solo home run to right center field to push the lead to 6-5.

Arodys Vizcaíno came on in the 9th inning and struck out 3 to pick of the save.
