The Los Angeles Dodgers took on the Arizona Diamondbacks tonight and they managed to pull out a win. The game ended 4-3 in the Dodgers favor.
Robbie Ray kicked off pitching for the night and the game got going early. In the top of the fourth, Howie Kendrick stepped up and hit a sacrifice fly to right. This helped Enrique Hernandez to score after he doubled to right and made it to third.
Brett Anderson took over to pitch to the Diamondbacks and after two hits the first inning came to a close.
The top of the 3 was when the scoring continued for LA. Hernandez doubled to left this time which pushed A.J. Ellis to score. Then Kendrick singled to center and the helper, Hernandez, scored. Justin Turner stepped up doubled to deep center, and Kendrick scored. The Dodgers were up 4-0.
In the bottom of the six, Arizona’s Aaron Hill homered to left center and put the Dbacks on the board. They scored again in the bottom of the eighth when Hill, again, hit a sacrifice fly to left and A.J. Pollock scored.
The Dodgers and the New York Mets will play each other after LA takes a day off. They will play on Friday.
