Jeff Passan of Yahoo Sports reported information on the deal.
Source: Joakim Soria and Luis Avila headed to White Sox in three-team deal. Dodgers getting Scott Alexander and infielder Jake Peter.

Passan continued.
If nothing else, Royals clearing $10M in Soria salary and buyout gives them slight payroll clearance if they’re serious about going into the mid-$100M range for Eric Hosmer. Scott Alexander was really good last year, though. The 70% GB lefty reliever is awfully valuable.

Ken Rosenthal of the Atheltic reported the news as well.
Alexander’s 73.3 percent groundball rate last season was second only to Zach Britton’s 74.3 percent among qualifying major-league relievers. Posted 2.48 ERA in 69 IP with 59 Ks and 28 BBs. Heading to #Dodgers from #Royals.

Rosenthal continued.
Alexander, a left-hander will replace free agent Tony Watson in #Dodgers’ bullpen. Comes with five years of control. LAD also parting with minor-league IFer in addition to Avilan and Oaks.

Rosenthal concluded.
Complete deal: Left-handed reliever Scott Alexander and Triple A infielder Jake Peter to #Dodgers; right-handed relievers Luis Avilan and Joakim Soria and cash to #WhiteSox; RHP Trevor Oaks and minor-league infielder Erick Mejia to #Royals.
