According to Mark Saxon of ESPNLosAngeles.com, the Los Angeles Dodgers have acquired Joel Peralta and Adam Liberatore from the Tampa Bay Rays.

The Dodgers have had struggles in the bullpen and it looks like they have started to address the issue. Peralta has been a staple in the Rays bullpen over the last four years. In fact no pitcher in the league as made as many appearances as he had during his four years in Tampa. During his tenure in Tampa, he made 296 appearances while sporting a 3.58 ERA and a 3.40 FIP.

Adam Liberatore is another reliever that the Dodgers will look to use to sure up the bullpen.  Liberatore, a lefty, was drafted in the 21st round of the 2010 MLB draft by the Rays, back when Andrew Friedman was the VP of baseball operations.

Liberatore has spent his career thus far in the minors, but last last had a coming out party. He was named a Triple-A All-Star and posted a 6-1 record with a 1.66 ERA. Liberatore pitched in 54 games, and recorded 4 saves last season as well.

The Dodgers did have to give up Jose Dominguez to make the trade work. Dominguez is 24 years old and was one of the hardest throwing pitchers in the Dodgers organization. He had pitched in 14 games over the last two seasons, but missed the last part of the season due to a shoulder injury.

Greg Harris was also part of the trade. The 20 year old pitched in Class A Great Lakes last season, and posted a 7-6 record. While the Dodgers have made their first move to help bolster the bullpen only time will tell if the move will pay off.
