Doc Rivers Out As Clippers Head Coach

In a very unprecedented move, the Los Angeles Clippers are moving forward without Doc Rivers.
Rivers one of the most respected basketball coaches in the NBA was released by the team on Monday night. The Clippers hired Rivers in 2014 taking the team to the playoffs all but one season, 2018. Under Rivers, the Clippers compiled a 356-208 record, the best stretch in the franchise history.
One of the best coaches in the NBA, Rivers will be one of the most sought after prospect for several vacant coaching jobs next season. The Philadelphia 76ers as the front-runners to hire Rivers after the Sixers fired their long time Head Coach Brent Brown.
Rivers is an NBA Championship winning coach, after leading the Boston Celtics to the 2008 NBA title over the Lakers. Rivers coaching career record stands at 943-691 in 20 years of
coaching.
