NL WEST
1. Los Angeles Dodgers (91-71). This could all blow up if Joc Pederson isn’t ready, Brandon McCarthy and Brett Anderson get hurt (again), and the offense can’t make up for the loss of Matt Kemp and Hanley Ramirez. But come on! They’re pretty good.
2. San Diego Padres (82-80). These guys will pitch, again, but they won’t hit, again, and they’re going to play poor defense. But they’re getting better!
3. San Francisco Giants (81-81). The Giants don’t show up in odd-numbered years. Everybody knows that. That’s just science.
4. Colorado Rockies (77-85). This assumes Tulo and Cargo may actually be healthy (a dangerous assumption). Nevertheless, chant with me, fellow Rockies fans: We’re not the worst! We’re not the worst! We’re not the worst!
5. Arizona Diamondbacks (71-91). Tony LaRussa and Dave Stewart will soon make this team good. 2015 is not that year.
