NL EAST
1. Washington Nationals (95-67). Ninety-five is a ton of wins, but the Nationals have arguably the best pitching staff in baseball, and they are in a very weak division.
2. Florida Marlins (82-80). Credit where credit is due, the Marlins have come a long way from two and three years ago. They aren’t there yet, but this should be a fun team to watch. Plus, Jose Fernandez will be back soon!
3. New York Mets (75-87). Do we have to listen to New York media campaign for a Troy Tulowitzki trade all summer? Just kidding, we’ll get 19,832 A-Rod stories instead. They’ll range from preachy and admonishing, to apologetic and contrarian (for its own sake, of course). Yay.
4. Atlanta Braves (74-88). The Braves have made some puzzling moves but at least, for the first time in years, they’ll be able to start a season without the human black hole known as Dan Uggla. They also have a new stadium that they don’t need coming soon, sooo… that’s something?
5. Philadelphia Phillies (68-94). Congratulations! You’re the worst team in baseball. Hell of a franchise you’re running there, Ruben. When do Cole Hamels and Chase Utley get traded?
