Dirk’s Clutch Shot Beats Lakers 92-90

Dirk Nowitzki hit a clutch jumper with 2 seconds left and the Los Angeles Lakers fell to the Dallas Mavericks 92-90. With the loss the Lakers have now lost seven in a row.
Kobe Bryant did not play last night due to a shoulder injury. Jordan Clarkson had a solid game with 18 points 7 assists and 6 rebounds.
Julius Randle recorded a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds. Lou Williams reached double figures with 14 points.
Roy Hibbert also reached double figures with 11 points. D’Angelo Russell scored 12 points but was benched. Head coach Byron Scott explained that Russell was benched for trying to take over the game.
For Dallas J.J. Barea led the way with 18 points off the bench. Chandler Parsons scored 17 points and added 9 rebounds.
Dirk added 13 points and Deron Williams scored 11 points. Both teams struggled from the three point line. Los Angeles connected on just 7/25 from deep while the Mavericks connected on 6/25 from behind the arch.
Los Angeles did control the glass out rebounding Dallas 47-35. The big difference was the turnover battle. Los Angeles committed 14 turnovers while the Mavericks committed just 6.
