The Denver Nuggets will travel to Los Angeles to take on the Lakers tonight. The Lakers are coming off an embarrassing defeat against the Dallas Mavericks.
It was all bad for the Lakers as they lost 140-106. For more on that game click here for the recap.
Byron Scott told CBSsports.com this about the loss.
Maybe in that locker room, guys are satisfied with the last two wins and just took this one for granted and just started to look forward to going home,” Scott said. ”You can’t do that if you want to be competitive in this league.”
Tonight, the Lakers will face another West another Western Conference foe. The Denver Nuggets are coming off a win against the New Orleans Pelicans on Friday night. They shot 53% from the field on their way to a 117-97 victory.
The Nuggets rank in the top ten in the league for both points per game and rebounds per game so it will tough for the Lakers to slow them down.
While the Nuggets have won 4 out of their last 5 games head coach Brian Shaw is not satisfied with the team. Wilson Chandler has been playing great basketball and will look to exploit the Lakers weakness at the small forward position.
It will be interesting to see which Laker team will show up tonight. The team that showed up in Atlanta and Houston looked a lot better than the team that arrived in Dallas. If play like they did in Houston it will be a good game. If not, it could ugly real quick.
