Dave Roberts has blown the #Dodgers away in his managerial interview, and if he doesn’t get the job, he’ll at least be the bench coach.

News first surfaced yesterday that Roberts had interviewed for the job. Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports reported the news.

Roberts has been a bench coach with the Padres over the last two years. Roberts is just latest name to surface as a candidate.
The club has interviewed Gabe Kapler, Bud Black, and Darin Erstad as well. Roberts played in the majors for 10 years, 3 of them with the Dodgers.
Roberts won a World Series with the Boston Red Sox as a player back in 2004. If Roberts returns to San Diego for some reason, Dennis Lin of the San Diego Union Tribune reports that he could see an increased role with the Padres.
