Michael Gehlken of the San Diego Union Tribune shared his initial thoughts on the news.

Woodhead is in his fourth year with the Chargers after spending time with the New York Jets, and New England Patriots. He played in all 16 games for the club last season.
With the Chargers already without wide receiver Keenan Allen, Woodhead being out would be a major blow to the offense.
