D-Backs Win 12th In A Row Drop Dodgers In Extras 3-1

The Arizona Diamondbacks tied their franchise record with their 12th consecutive win last night over the Los Angeles Dodgers 3-1.
For the D-Backs Zack Greinke got the start. He had a strong outing as he pitched 7 innings allowing 1 run and 1 walk. He struck out 6 and was awarded a no decision.
On the other side Hyun-Jin Ryu got the start. He pitched 6 innings allowing 1 run and 5 walks. He struck out 7 and picked up the no decision.
The offense got started in the 4th inning for the D-Backs. Daniel Descalso hit a RBI double that brought in J.D. Martinez and Arizona led 1-0.
In the 5th inning Yasami Grandal hit a solo shot. For Grandal it was his 19th home run of the year. In the 10th inning Brandon Drury reached on a fielder’s choice to third that brought in Chris Herrmann and A.J. Pollock. This gave Arizona a 3-1 lead.
Fernando Rodney came on in the 10th and picked up his 35th save of the year.
