Cory Rasmus Lands On DL

According to Alden Gonalez of MLB.com Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim pitcher Cory Rasmus has been placed on the disabled list due to a strain right groin.
Cory Rasmus also has injured groin, though it’s his right one. He also is going on the DL, and he also says it isn’t too serious. Achter up.

Zach Helfred of the Los Angeles Times also reported the news.
Angels’ Cory Rasmus has been placed on the disabled list. He says he doesn’t expect it to be a long-term stint but “better safe than sorry.”

Rasmus has struggled so far this season. He has appeared in 11 games and has posted a 5.59 ERA. The injury does not seem to be too serious but the Angels want to be cautious with injuries to Garrett Richards and other members of the rotation.
