Health
Health has played a huge role in how this Clippers season has gone thus far. Since the absences of Blake Griffin and Chris Paul have taken place the team has taken a massive nosedive as far as winning is concerned.
All of the sudden people are questioning this team’s depth.
Let’s be honest, how many teams in the NBA lose their two star players and remain atop the league? None.
Griffin and Paul are undoubtedly the 2 most important players on this Clipper roster. Griffin prior to his injury was yet again the leading scorer and Paul the leader in assists and steals. Even though they are league veterans, plugging in a combination of Raymond Felton, Austin Rivers, Jamal Crawford, Wesley Johnson and Brandon Bass to replace those 2 guys does equal the same production.
Getting this whole team healthy and ready to go for the rest of the season is the most important thing moving forward and it seems Head Coach Doc Rivers knows that as he’s taken the cautious approach lately even with these losses rolling in. But will he remain patient if things don’t turn around soon?
