Griffin’s Return To Form
Blake Griffin returned from injury on April 3rd against the Washington Wizards. That left seven games in the regular season for the All-Star Power Forward to get back into form after what was essentially an entire offseason of time away from the court. Only playing in five of those games, has Griffin had enough time to readjust?
Well in the last two games he played before taking a breather against Phoenix, Blake certainly seemed to be coming around. Getting 17 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists against Dallas and then 12 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals against Memphis are both really good signs for the Clippers as they enter the most important part of the season.
Griffin’s passing has been something the team has missed the most. His ability to read the floor and zip a well-timed pass to an open scorer has been something that nobody other than Chris Paul has done in his absence. Having more distributors on the floor is never a negative in this game and while his shot and aggression returns, this is a part of his game he can help with immediately.
