Clippers Third Quarter Rally Comes Up Short Vs. Denver

The Los Angeles Clippers found themselves without three of their best players on Monday night and fell to the Denver Nuggets 106-102 at the Staples Center.
Chris Paul and J.J. Redick both missed the game due to hamstring injuries so Austin Rivers and Jamal Crawford got the start in the back-court. Crawford scored a team high 24 points. Rivers added 19.
DeAndre Jordan added a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Brandon Bass and Raymond Felton reached double figures off the bench with 11 points and 10 respectively.
For the Nuggets Nikola Jokic and Danilo Gallinari led the way. Jokic scored 24 points to go along with 10 rebounds. Gallinari scored 23 points and grabbed 11 rebounds.
Will Barton scored 23 points off the bench. Denver controlled the glass in this game. They out rebounded the Clippers 51-38. The Clippers also dug themselves into a hole in the second quarter that could never recover from. The club was down by 17 at halftime.
Los Angeles will now hit the road as they take on the New Orleans Pelicans on Wednesday night.
