Clippers Take On Wizards In Our Nation’s Capital
- Updated: December 28, 2015
The Los Angeles Clippers will take on the Washington Wizards tonight in our Nation’s capital as they continue their road trip.
Los Angeles is coming off a solid win over the Utah Jazz over the weekend without Blake Griffin. Griffin suffered an injury to his quad and is forced to miss some time.
Washington comes into this game with a 14-14 record while the Clippers sport a 18-13 clip. The unquestioned leader of this Wizards team is John Wall but the Wiz have not played up to standard thus far this season.
Washington will be without Bradley Beal who is out due to a leg injury. He is expected to begin non-contact activities sometime this week.
Drew Gooden is also out with a calf injury and could be weeks away from a return. Nene Hilario will also miss tonight’s game with a calf injury as well.
With the Wiz banged up they have gotten off to the start that everyone was hoping they would. They have changed their play style so adapt to the times in the pace and space era.
Wall leads the team in scoring at 19.5 points per game, with Marcin Gortat averaging 13.8. Look for DeAndre Jordan to have a big day on the glass with a lack of depth in the front court for Washington.
