Clippers Take Care Of Lakers 106-78

The Los Angeles Clippers took care of the Los Angeles Lakers on Easter Sunday, winning 106-78. With both teams on opposite ends of the standings it was no surprise that the Clippers came out on top. Chris Paul and Clips road into tonight’s game off of a solid victory last night against the Nuggets.
Blake Griffin led the way in scoring for the Clips. He scored 18 points to go along with 5 assists and 5 rebounds. Paul scored 7 points and had 15 assists. DeAndre Jordan 16 points and had 11 rebounds while Matt Barnes (14) and J.J. Redick (12) reached double figures as well.
Off the bench Austin Rivers (10) and Hedo Turkoglu (12) reached double figures as the Clippers got offensive production from a number of different places.
For the Lakers Wesley Johnson led the way with 16 points. He shot just 6/16 from the field however. Tarik Black scored 10 points and 9 rebounds, and Jabari Brown reached double figures as well with 10 points.
Ryan Kelly had a strong game for the Lakers. He flirted with a triple double as he scored 9 points had 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Jordan Clarkson struggled scoring just 2 points tonight.
The Clippers were in complete control the entire game. They shot 53% from the field including 56% from behind the three-point line. They connected on 15 bombs.
Tonight’s outcome works out for both parties. For the Lakers they improve their chances at the lottery, and for the Clippers they continue to jockey for playoff position.
Up next the two Los Angeles teams will face each other again on Tuesday night.
