Clippers Sign Milos Teodosic To Two-Year Deal
- Updated: July 6, 2017
I’m going to go ahead and guess that the average Clippers fan probably had no idea who Milos Teodosic was more than 2 days ago. Hell, you might not even know now. And while you might not know who he is you definitely know who could’ve wound up occupying the same roster spot, Derrick Rose.
But here’s why Teodosic is a better fit. He’s a playmaker, shooter, leader and hands down one of the best Euroleague players out there. He’s 30 years old and coming off his best statistical season, averaging 16.1 points and 6.8 assists per game while shooting 38% from three. Teodosic is widely regarding as one of the worlds best point guards and now he’s a Los Angeles Clipper.

Teodosic is 6’5″ and provides a basketball IQ that rivals many top NBA guards. He was the Euroleague MVP in 2009-10 and made the 2014 FIBA World Cup All Tournament team where he lead Serbia to a silver medal.
Teodosic also has a history with one of the Clippers newest pieces, Point Guard Patrick Beverly. The two were teammates back at Olympiacos in Greece in 2009-10. The two soon will be gracing the backcourt together again with some more difficult competition, but also at a higher wage.
The Clippers were able to grab the Euroleague star at a team friendly price.
Euro star point guard Milo Teodosic has agreed to a two-year, $12.3M deal with the Los Angeles Clippers, league sources tell ESPN.

The two year deal includes a second year player-option where Teodosic will become a restricted free agent if he does choose to opt out.
This is a home-run signing for Los Angeles and this is a player who will make an immediate impact on how this team plays next season.
