Clippers Sign Mike Scott To One Year Deal

Well Clippers fans it may not have been the splashy signing we’ve been waiting for but the team brought in forward Mike Scott to help round out the frontcourt.
Free agent Mike Scott has agreed to a one-year deal with the Clippers, league sources tell ESPN.

Scott is a 6’8″ forward that will help stretch the floor for Los Angeles. The 29 year-old averaged 8.8 points and 3.3 rebounds coming off the bench for the Washington Wizards last season while managing to shoot 41% from beyond the arc and 53% from the field. Those shooting percentages were career high’s for Scott last season as he never managed to put up number quite as stellar in his first five seasons in Atlanta.
Scott will be a good fit on the floor for Los Angeles as his shooting will allow the Clippers to space out a bit. His experience playing with Marcin Gortat last year in Washington will also help him acclimate to what will be an all new frontcourt for the team.
