Ayres is a former second round pick of the Sacramento Kings in the 2009 NBA Draft. He has spent time with the Portland TrailBlazers, Indiana Pacers, San Antonio Spurs and now the Clippers.
Last season with the Spurs Ayres played in 51 game averaging 7.5 minutes a night. With Blake Griffin still recovering from injury the Clippers needed to add some big man depth.
Ayres should be able to provide that depth along with some playoff experience as we approach the postseason. As more information surfaces on the Clippers and their roster moves we will keep you up to date.
