Wilcox is a former first round pick of the Clippers in the 2014 NBA Draft. He appeared in 21 games last season averaging 2.0 points per game.
Wilcox who is known for a shooting ability was sent down to the Bakersfield Jam a few weeks ago in order for him to get some playing time. Since he is playing behind J.J. Redick, Lance Stephenson, Austin Rivers, and Paul Pierce there is very little roof for him to get minutes.
In his 7 games with the Jam he is averaging close to 20 points per game while shooting over 50% from the field. He is also shooting 41% from behind the line which is encouraging to see.
The Clippers were able to beat the Portland Trail Blazers 102-87 last night. The Clippers will host the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday and the Orlando Magic at home on Saturday.
It is important to note the Clippers are one of a few teams that do not have their own D-league team. The Brooklyn Nets, Chicago Bulls, and Charlotte Hornets are all expected to launch their own affiliate teams next season.
He was on the bench with the club last night but was not active. As more information surfaces on Clippers and their roster moves we will keep you up to date.
