The Los Angeles Clippers struggled to pull out a win again tonight as they were playing without Blake Griffin. They lost to the Houston Rockets 110-105.

James Harden had 21 points tonight and Corey Brewer scored 13 of his 20 points in the fourth quarter. Tonight marked Houston’s first win over the Clippers since March 30, 2013 and it is just the second win in the past 13 meetings with the Clippers.

ESPN.com reported the following on the game:

“The Rockets stated the fourth quarter with a 15-1 run to take a 99-86 lead. With the second unit in, Brewer starred in that stretch, scoring 10 points, with two 3-pointers.

Houston didn’t trail after that, but a 7-0 run by the Clippers got them within four points with 37.8 seconds left. Chris Paul fouled Harden hard after that and the two were separated after Harden stood inches away from him and yelled.”

Jamal Crawford led the Clippers in scoring tonight with 24 points. DeAndre Jordan led with 19 rebounds, Chris Paul dominated with 14 assists and Spencer Hawes racked up one steal.

CaliSports News discussed the Clippers Blake Griffin-less struggles in his article today:

“In the absence of Blake Griffin, the Clippers are 4-2. After dropping the first game without Griffin in a rather decisive blowout by Oklahoma City the Clippers started to figure things out, winning four in a row with two wins before and two coming after the All-Star break. Glen “Big Baby” Davis stepped up as the emotional leader off of the bench while Jamal Crawford dropped in buckets the way we’ve all come to expect from him as the sixth man and third leading scorer on the team. And Austin Rivers even got in on the fun with a career high 28 points against the Kings. DeAndre Jordan and Chris Paul have done what they needed to and took the starting lineup over after the injury to Griffin, but there is a growing concern. Exhaustion.”
