Clippers Lose Key Game 5, 96-92

The Los Angeles Clippers loss a key game five 96-92 Tuesday night at the Staples Center. With the loss they now trail in the series 3-2.

Gordon Hayward was just too much to handle after missing most of game three due to food poisoning. Hayward poured in 27 points on 9/16 shooting to go along wit 8 rebounds in the victory.

Joe Johnson continued his strong play including a dagger to put the game on ice in the fourth quarter. He scored 14 points and grabbed 8 rebounds off the bench.

Rudy Gobert was a monster on the defensive side of the ball. He recorded a double-double with 11 points, 11 rebounds and 5 steals. George Hill chipped in 12 points, Borris Diaw added 10, and Rodney Hood scored 16 points off the bench.

For the Clippers, Chris Paul and J.J. Redick led the offense. Paul scored 28 points to go along with 9 assists, while Redick scored 26 points. DeAndre Jordan added a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds.

Los Angeles was outrebounded 43-34 in the game. The Clippers are now in a win or go home situation. They will take on the Jazz in Utah Friday night on ESPN.
