Clippers Host Brooklyn Nets
- Updated: February 29, 2016
The Los Angeles Clippers will host the Brooklyn Nets on Monday night at the Staples Center. Los Angeles is coming off a win against the Sacramento Kings on Friday night.
Brooklyn comes into the game with a 17-42 clip while the Clippers sport a 38-20 record. The Nets have won two in a row entering tonight’s contest.
Los Angeles is hoping to get guard Austin Rivers back this week as he rehabs from a broken hand. With new general manager Sean Marks in charge the Nets have made a couple of moves.
They parted ways with Joe Johnson who agreed to a contract with the Miami Heat. They also signed Sean Kilpatrick to a 10-day contract.
Blake Griffin has begun shooting in his rehab progression. He is not expected to return to the lineup this week. The Nets are led by Brook Lopez and Thaddeus Young.
Lopez is averaging 20.4 points per game this season along with 8.2 rebounds on the season. Young is second on the team with 15.1 points per game to go along with 9 rebounds a night.
With the Clippers off Saturday and Sunday they should have some fresh legs and should be able to pull out a victory. Chris Paul is coming off a strong performance so expect him to come out with aggression tonight as well.
Let’s get this win Clippers!
