Clippers Harris, Rivers Awarded For Stellar Start

Clippers

The beginning of this NBA season has kicked off with a bang for the Western Conference leading Los Angeles Clippers. A 15-7 start has surprised the basketball world and put the Clippers in a position few believed they would be in 22 games in.

Much of that success can be accredited to Head Coach Doc Rivers and starting forward Tobias Harris.

Rivers led the team to a 15-6 record through the months of October and November. During that run the Clippers defeated perennial Western Conference contenders in the Golden State Warriors and Houston Rockets. The team currently sits top 5 in the NBA in team offense and point differential.

Rivers was awarded the NBA’s coach of the month for his efforts to start off the 2018-19 campaign.

Rivers wasn’t the only Clipper to be awarded for his hot start to the season, as Forward Tobias Harris won player of the month for his performances to start off the season.

Harris has been a star thus far for LA. Receiving the award for the first time in his career, Harris put up 21.7 points and 8.7 rebounds per game while shooting 52.8% from the field and 44% from beyond the arc in the opening months.

The Clippers will get a chance to show off their award winners tonight as they square off against Anthony Davis and the Pelicans in New Orleans.
