Clippers Continue Road Trip In Charlotte
- Updated: December 30, 2015
The Los Angeles Clippers continue their road trip when they travel to Charlotte tonight to take on the Hornets. Los Angeles is currently on a three game winning streak and is responding quite well to the absence of Blake Griffin.
Charlotte enters tonight with a 17-13 record with their most recent victory coming over the Lakers 108-98. Charlotte is on a two game winning and then announced the name of their new D-league team last night, the Greensboro Swarm. Congratulations to your organization Charlotte.
The Clippers comes into this game with a 19-13 record. They beat the Wizards their last time out and it was Chris Paul who provided a couple highlight dunks for the fans.
For the Hornets Spencer Hawes is listed as questionable. He is dealing with a back injury and has missed the last two games. Jeremy Lin is also listed as questionable due to a right ankle sprain. He was unable to practice yesterday and it will be interesting to see if he tries to give it a go or not.
Nicolas Batum is also listed a questionable. He is dealing with a sprained right toe and also sat out of practice yesterday. All indications point to Batum playing tonight however.
Kemba Walker is coming off a strong performance against the Lakers. The former Uconn guard scored 38 points in the victory. Al Jefferson will most likely come off the bench tonight as he tries to work his way back into rhythm after missing five games due a suspension.
Los Angeles started Paul Pierce at the power forward in their win over the Wizards. It will be interesting to see if they keep Pierce at that starting role or go back to having Josh Smith in that role.
DeAndre Jordan will need to be aggressive on the glass as the Hornets with Jefferson playing limited minutes are thin inside.
Let’s keep the wins coming Clippers!
