Clippers Continue Road Trip In Brooklyn
- Updated: December 12, 2015
The Los Angeles Clippers will continue their road trip in Brooklyn on Saturday night when they take on the Nets. The Clippers are coming off a tough loss to the Chicago Bulls in their last matchup and will look to right the ship.
Brooklyn is one of the worst teams in the league but they have been playing better of late. Led by Joe Johnson and Brook Lopez they have a formidable one-two punch.
There has been much speculation of general manager Billy King and head coach Lionel Hollins on the hot seat but I’m not sure how much should be expected from this team. Deron Williams is no longer the starting point guard. The Nets bought his contract out and he is now in Dallas with the Mavericks.
Thaddeus Young signed a contract extension this summer and will have the assignment of trying to slow down Blake Griffin. Griffin was ejected last game for a flagrant two foul on Taj Gibson.
With the departure of Williams Jarrett Jack has taking over the starting point guard duties. He’ll have the test of guarding Chris Paul tonight.
The Nets also have former Los Angeles Laker shooting guard Wayne Ellington. He is a skilled shooter that the Clippers will need to weary of.
The Nets did beat the Houston Rockets a couple days and do play with good energy at times. This game could be considered a trap game and the Clippers need to handle their business.
