The Clippers playoff run is not over yet! Tonight they added another win to their series total to put them ahead of the Houston Rockets 3-1! The game ended 128-95. And with a victory on Tuesday night, the Clippers will be moving on to the Western Conference Finals.
DeAndre Jordan led the team tonight in scoring with 26 points and 17 rebounds. Yes, you read that correctly. DeAndre Jordan. He made 14 of his 34 free throws after continuously being sent to the line in Houston’s (lame) attempt at slowing the game down. Blake Griffin was a close second with 21 points and J.J. Redick was just behind him at 18.
Chris Paul also had 15 points and 12 assists.
As for the Rockets, James Harden‘s 21 points were not enough and although Trevor Ariza hit 18 they still couldn’t keep up with Lob City and the Bench Mob! Dwight Howard was ejected from the game after being in foul trouble throughout and taking his frustration out on Griffin.
ESPN.com reports the following on Jordan’s trips to the line:
“Jordan’s 28 attempts in the first half eclipsed the old mark of 27 by Shaquille O’Neal in 2000. Jordan made 10, while the Clippers went 24 of 44 from the line. The Rockets, who committed 27 fouls in the half, were 3 of 13.”
The Clippers will play again on Tuesday and we are looking forward to seeing another win there too!
