The Los Angeles Clippers blew a fourth quarter lead and loss in overtime 98-93 to the Portland Trail Blazers. While the Clippers have fared quite well without Blake Griffin but they certainly can’t wait to have him back. In Griffin’s absence Chris Paul has had to step up and boy has he done that.

Coming off of a win against the Timberwolves on Monday the Clippers looked to duplicate that performance tonight. Paul lead the way and the Clippers were sitting pretty before a late collapse. Paul scored a season high 36 points to go along with 12 assists and 6 rebounds. J.J. Redick also scored big tonight as he had 26 points to go along with 4 rebounds. Speaking of rebounds that guy DeAndre Jordan continued his dominance. He scored 6 points but more importantly grabbed 19 rebounds.

For the Blazers it was a night that Damian Lillard wants to forget. Lillard struggled all night and ended up shooting just 1/13 from the field and ended with 5 points but did have a career high 18 rebounds. LaMarcus Aldridge lead the offense with Lillard struggling. He scored 29 points and had 9 rebounds.

Nicolas Batum was a major factor in the Blazers comeback. He hit a string of big shots to keep the Blazers in the game and delivered the final blow in overtime.

A late spurt by the Blazers tied the game with 25 seconds left. Chris Paul drove to the basket and missed a lay up and with 0.7 seconds left DeAndre Jordan had a brain fart. Check out the video below.

After that play the game headed in overtime and the Blazers were able to capitalize. The loss snaps the Clippers three game winning streak. They will need to move on as they have a huge game against the Golden State Warriors on Sunday afternoon.
