Cliff Pennington Lands On 15-Day DL

According to Alden Gonzalez of MLB.com Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim infielder Cliff Pennington has been placed on the 15-Day disabled list.
Cliff Pennington is going on the DL, with Gregorio Petit taking his spot on the active roster. Angels hope it’s a two-week injury.

Pedro Moura of the Los Angeles Times also reported the news.
The Angels also called up infielder Gregorio Petit from Salt Lake. Cliff Pennington was placed on the 15-day DL with a hamstring strain.

Pennington is a former first round pick of the Oakland Athletics back in the 2005 MLB Draft. He spent five years with the A’s before joining the Arizona Diamondbacks for three years, and the Toronto Blue Jays last year.
This year with the Angels he has played in 24 games and is hitting .217. He should be able to come back in a few weeks with a minor hamstring injury.
