The Cleveland Cavalier will take on the Los Angeles Clippers tonight at home as the Clippers return to LA following a win against the Portland Trail Blazers on the road.

The game turned physical in spots and Coach Doc Rivers said the following to the media after the game:

“It’s one of those rare regular-season, playoff-type of games,” Los Angeles coach Doc Rivers said. “They’re a lot of fun to get into, but you don’t get a lot of those. We didn’t go into it that way, but it turned into that.”

The Clippers had an interesting day yesterday as they made a number of roster moves. They were involved in a three-way deal which ultimately brought Doc Rivers’ son, Austin Rivers, to the Clippers. They also waived Jordan Farmar.

As for the Cleveland Cavaliers, LeBron James spoke about his matchup with comrade Kobe Bryant to ESPN.com:

“He said, ‘That’s what old age will get you,'” James said with a laugh. “You start missing dunks when you thought you was up there.”

Coach David Blatt also said,

“For all of us, those are two all-time greats going at it … like two prizefighters,” Cavs coach David Blatt said. “It’s great to see two guys playing the game at that level for so many years and still involving their teammates in the way that they did.”
