Chris Paul Lifts Clippers Over Spurs 105-86

The San Antonio Spurs were without Kawhi Leonard and Chris Paul was excellent as the Los Angeles Clippers beat the Spurs 105-86 on Thursday night.
Leonard who is dealing with a minor injury sat out last night in a precautionary measure and the Clippers were able to take advantage.
Paul finished with 28 points, 11 assists, and 5 rebounds. J.J. Redick added 17 points, and Paul Pierce reached double figures with 12 points.
DeAndre Jordan controlled the glass with 9 points and 17 rebounds. In the fourth quarter CP3 and DJ connected on a sweet Lob that had the fans on their feet.

Jamal Crawford scored 19 points off the bench and dished 6 assists as he was the primary backup point guard with Austin Rivers and Pablo Prigioni out with injuries.
San Antonio had just three players in double-figures. Tony Parker scored 14 points to lead the way in scoring. David West chipped in 12 points in 18 minutes, and LaMarcus Aldridge added 10 points.
Los Angeles pulled off a trade right at the trade deadline in order to acquire Jeff Green and he should be ready to go when the Clippers play the Golden State Warriors this weekend.
It was strong effort from the club and they will try to ride that momentum in this second half of the season.
