Chatwood Leads Rockies Over Padres 6-1

Tyler Chatwood had a strong performance as the Colorado Rockies beat the San Diego Padres 6-1 on Friday night. For San Diego they have now loss 4 in a row.
For the Padres Clayton Richard got the start. He pitched 6 innings allowing 7 hits and 4 runs. He walked 3 and struck out 3 as he picked up his 14th loss of the year.
On the other side Chatwood pitched 5.2 innings. He allowed 4 hits and 1 run as he walked 1 and struck out 3. He picked up his 8th win of the year.
The offense got started in the 2nd inning when Chatwood hit a 2-run single that brought in Carlos Gonzalez and Mark Reynolds. DJ LeMahieu followed with a 2-run triple that brought in Jonathan Lucroy and Chatwood and the Rockies led 4-0.
Wil Myers hit a solo shot in the 6th inning to put the Padres on the board. Nolan Arenado answered back with a solo shot of his own in the 8th inning. Ian Desmond followed with a sac fly that brought in Trevor Story an the Rockies beat San Diego 6-1.
