Micheal Gehlken of the San Diego Union Tribune also reported the news.
Chargers waived former Arizona State QB Mike Bercovici. Candidate for practice squad if he clears waivers.

Bercovici went undrafted in the 2016 NFL draft after playing his college ball at Arizona State University. He was signed to a deal back in May and was unable to make the final roster for Week 1.
Bercovici may have a chance to stay on the practice squad and learn from the likes of Philip Rivers. After being undrafted it is always a tough road for anyone to make it in the league.
San Diego will open up Week 1 at the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday on CBS.
