Chargers Sign Kicker Mike Badgley
- Updated: October 11, 2018
According to Adam Schefter of ESPN.com, the Los Angeles Chargers have signed kicker Mike Badgley.
With veteran kicker Caleb Sturgis nursing a strained quad, the Chargers are signing free agent kicker Mike Badgley, league sources tell @FieldYates and me. Sturgis will not be cut, however, as the Chargers will carry two kickers on their active roster.

Mike Fabiano also reported the news.
The Chargers have signed K Mike Badgley, meaning Caleb Sturgis is unlikely to kick this week. Ka’imi Fairbairn is a great waiver-wire replacement.

Badgley played his college ball at the University of Miami where he completed 96% of his extra points. With the Chargers injuries they are hoping Badgley can fill in for the time being.
