Jason La Canfora of CBSSports.com also reported the news.
Chargers, with some of the most historically bad punt returning we’ve ever seen, announce the release of Jacoby Jones

Jones was signed this offseason to a two-year deal worth about 5 and half million dollars. Jones has struggled mightily since joining the club.
Ben Higgins of the Chargers had this to say about the situation.
It’s easy to blame Jacoby Jones (and he should have caught that punt on Sunday) but the Chargers return game problems go well beyond him.

Charger fans won’t necessarily miss Jones but I agree that he isn’t the reason why this team is 2-6. The Chargers are much better than their record and they take on the Chicago Bears on Monday Night Football.
