Chargers Continue To Struggle Fall 33-3

The San Diego Chargers struggles continued on Sunday when they fell to the Kansas City Chiefs 33-3. For San Diego it was their 6th straight loss.
The game got off to a interesting start for the Bolts. Defensive tackle Dontari Poe scored a 1-yard touchdown for the Chiefs, leaping over the pile to give Kansas City a 6-0 lead. The Chiefs missed the extra point and after the first quarter the Bolts trailed 6-0.
Josh Lambo hit a 52 yard field goal to put the Bolts on the board. That was the only score for the Chargers and they cut the lead to 6-3.
Cairo Santos answered back with a 28 yard field that pushed the Chargers lead to 9-3. Santos hit another field goal this time from 24 yards out to put the Chargers up 12-3 before halftime.
Philip Rivers tried to connect with Danny Woodhead when Justin Houston made the interception and took it back to the house for 17 yard touchdown. After the third quarter the Chiefs lead 19-3.
Spencer Ware ran in a 3 yard touchdown to push the lead to 26-4 in the fourth quarter. Ware rushed another 3 yard run in at the end of the game to cap things off 33-3.
Alex Smith threw for 253 yards. Ware had 11 attempts for 96 yards and 2 touchdowns. Albert Wilson lead the Chiefs in receiving with 4 catches for 56 yards.
Rivers had his worst game of the season throwing for 178 yards and a interception. Melvin Gordon has continued to struggle. He had 15 carries for 37 yards.
Up next for the Chargers are the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday in Jacksonville.
