The Calgary Flames will travel to Los Angeles to take on the Los Angeles Kings tonight. For the Kings it will be their first game since they retired Rob Blake’s #4 jersey. Although the Kings did play well they were unable to get the win as they fell to the Anaheim Ducks in a shootout 3-2.
Tonight will be the third of five meetings between the two teams. In their last matchup the Flames beat the Kings 2-1. The Flames are currently on a three game winning streak, with their most recent win coming against the San Jose Sharks 4-3 in overtime.
Both teams enter tonight’s game with 51 points so it will be an important game for each side. The Kings have been struggling as of late. They have dropped 7 of their last 9 games. For a team with championship aspirations, they will need to pick it up before it gets too late.
During this tough stretch the Kings have played well at times and they will need to put together a full 60 minutes in order to come out with 2 points.
