In the top of the sixth inning of this game, Cron was hit for the second time in this game, on a 1-0 pitch. The designated hitter and first baseman was the team’s hottest hitter before the All-Star break. Cron’s batting average soured in the past 23 games, hitting over .350. The latest injury to Cron is just another in a season which the team has been plagued with. Cron is the seventh Angel player that has landed on the disabled list this season.
