Buster Posey Hitting Streak Hits 12, Dodgers Shutout 4-0

Buster Posey continued his hot-hitting as he went 3-4 and the Los Angeles Dodgers loss to the San Francisco Giants 4-0. This marks 3 losses in a row for the Boys in Blue.

For the Dodgers Brett Anderson got the start. He pitched 6.1 innings allowing 6 hits and 3 runs. He did strike out 7 and walk 3. This was his 2nd loss of the season.

On the other hand Tim Lincecum pitched 7 strong innings for the Giants. He allowed 3 hits and 0 runs. He struck out 4 and walked 2. He picked up his 4th win of the year.

The offense for the Giants started in the 6th inning. Brandon Crawford hit a RBI single to left that brought in Posey. This gave the Giants a 1-0 lead.

In the 7th inning the Giant pushed across 3 runs. Joe Panik singled to center field that brought in Casey McGehee. Posey then hit his 7th home run of the year a 2-run shot that gave the Giants the 4-0 lead.

For the Giants Jean Machi pitched 2/3 of an inning allowing 2 hits. Javier Lopez finished the 8th. Jeremy Affeldt pitched the 9th and stuck out 1.

Yimi Garcia pitched 2/3 of an inning allowing 1 run. Sergio Santos pitched the 8th inning recording 2 strikeouts. The Dodgers will look to avoid the sweep tomorrow afternoon. First pitch is set for 12:45 p.m. PST
