- Updated: November 20, 2017
What happened to the Buffalo Bills? There are several questions to be answered after a 54-24 blowout loss to the Los Angeles Chargers in Los Angeles.
The Chargers scored 27 unanswered points in the second quarter and set a franchise record for points in the first half of this game (37). The 54 points, was the fourth highest point total in the franchise history.
Bills rookie quarterback Nathan Peterman in his first NFL start completed 11 passes on 14 attempts, but the bad news is that five of those passed were completed to the Chargers defense.
Philip Rivers had another stellar game, completing 20 of 32 passes for 251 yards while hooking up with Keenan Allen on a pair of touchdowns. Allen had his best game of the season with 12 catches for 159 yards. Both Melvin Gordon and Austin Ekeler combined for 120 of the team’s 148 yards on the ground. Rookie Mike Willams was very impressive and showed more improvement with eight targets, catching five.
NEXT UP FOR THE CHARGERS:
The Chargers (4-6), will have a short week as they will take on the Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving Day in Dallas. The win was just what the team needed, as they are now two games behind the struggling Kansas City Chiefs.
