The Padres have been extremely active this winter and pulled off one last blockbuster before their season starts tomorrow. Heyman tweeted his initial reactions to the news.
wow, sd has has some winter. that not sleeping thing must be paying off for aj preller. @kileymcd hat tip for big story — Jon Heyman (@JonHeymanCBS) April 5, 2015
Kimbrel is one of the best closers in the business as he led the league in saves with 47. He also posted a 1.61 ERA. The Padres parted ways with Quentin and Maybin as they already had a log jam in the outfield after acquiring Matt Kemp and Justin Upton. Melvin Upton Jr. is the brother of Justin bringing the band back together. Padres fans what do you think about the deal?!
