BREAKING: Padres Fire Bud Black

According to Jon Morosi of FOXSports.com the San Diego Padres have fired manager Bud Black.

Black has been the manager of the Padres for the last nine seasons. He has an overall record of 649-713. Jon Heyman of CBSSports.com also reported the news.

The Padres have not came off to the fast start that everyone was hoping for. The team made some huge acquisitions in the winter acquiring Matt Kemp, Justin Upton, James Shields, and Craig Kimbrel.
Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times reported his thoughts on the trade via Twitter.
