Lakers Get Second Pick In Upcoming Draft!
- Updated: May 16, 2017
After deep worries over dropping out of the top three, in the upcoming NBA Draft, the Los Angeles Lakers will have the second pick.
The 2017 NBA Draft is only a month away, and from now until the Lakers will have some thinking about who the team will take with the second pick.
The top prize will go the Boston Celtics, YES, the same Celtics that are playing for the Eastern Conference Championship against the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Celtics acquired the pick from the Brooklyn Nets in exchange for former Clipper Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett.
The second pick in the Draft isn’t bad, but the Lakers might not have the chance to pick the top player in Markelle Fultz from the University Of Washington.
Lonzo Ball from UCLA is considered the second best player in this Draft. the Point Guard averaged an amazing eight assists per game in his only season at the school. He could provide a spark to very young Laker squad that is still in search of a veteran and a superstar free-agent.
Forward Jonathan Isaac of Florida State is an above average rebounder and scorer. Isaac averaged a team-high 7.8 rebounds per game. Small forward Jayson Tatum from Duke, averaged 16.5 points per game to lead a very solid Duke team.
The final player is Josh Jackson from Kansas. The 20-year old freshman small forward was one of the best players in the Big 12. He was the sixth leading scorer in the conference, behind teammate, Frank Mason III.
The Lakers will have several good players to choose from, hopefully, the player can make an impact on changing the direction of the franchise.
