BREAKING: Lakers Fire Byron Scott

@AM570LASports

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of the Vertical the Los Angeles Lakers have parted ways with head coach Byron Scott.

CBSLA also reported the news.

Scott had just completed his second season with the Lakers and has struggled mightily with the little talent on the roster. It seems as him Scott was brought in just to be the coach for Kobe Bryant during his last years of his career.

Los Angeles will not look to find a replacement this summer. With Scott Brooks already in Washington and Tom Thibodeau in Minnesota the Lakers will focus in on Luke Walton and Mark Jackson most likely.

Los Angeles does have young pieces in D’Angelo Russell, Julius Randle, Jordan Clarkson, and Larry Nance Jr. with the a top pick in the draft hopefully coming.

The Laker job is better now than when Scott first arrived and the Lakers future is most certainly brighter than the last two dark years.

    Kobe got him fired. But Scott likely felt he had no choice. For letting Kobe do all that gunning.
